Practice
Ice practice will take place in the Slite ice rink. You choose between the camp's skilled coaches to get the most out of your time in Gotland. You may rank 3 coachers and if none of those You have chosen has place in a suitable group we will contact You. The fee includes: 3x45 minutes one ice, 1 session of physical training and dance combined every Monday to Friday and 45 minutes of ice on Saturday. Coaches, fee for ice, and dance are included as well as meals and accommodation. Coaches in Skate Island are as follows:

Justus Strid is since autum 2016 back in Sweden after finishing his skating career. He has competed in four European and World championships for Denmark. He has won the Danish championsips 7 consecutive times and befor that won medals at both the junior and senior Swedish championship. Today he coaches in Kungsbacka and before he was headcoach of Skärgårdens KK outside Göteborg and before that Copenhagen.
He has danish headcoach educations and elit fysical trainer at stac academy. Justus has been coached by several internationally known coaches such as Peter Grütter, Pierre Trent, Annick Dumont and Frank Carroll, whom all have inspired him as a coach. Justus makes programs for skaters at all levels. |
Phil Harris is a multiple World and European championship competitor and a three times senior British champion. He’s currently coaching skaters of all ages and levels, including British and international Champions and medalists, alongside Junior World Championship competitors. Phil is very excited to be travelling overseas to share his experiences from both his time as a competitor and a coach.
Clair has worked as a coach for over 20 years. She works as headcoach in Jönköpings Skridskoklubb. Before that she had an assignment as head coach in Canada and has previously held the same positions in Iceland, Denmark and Spain. She herself has a background as an active figure skater and represented England in the European Ice Dance Championships in the 90s. Clair is also trained in choreography, dance, ballet, yoga and pilates.
Alisa Drei started her figure skating career at the age of 3 in Moskow but then moved to Finland with her mum that also was her coach. She competed on international level for Finland during 14 year. Participated in 1 Olympics, 5 Worlds and 8 Europeans where she placed top-10 7 times. On the national level she was 4-times Finnish champion
Alissa started to work as a coach in Helsingin Luistelijat-club in Helsinki in 2008. She has coached skaters on all levels and participated as a coach in European 2022 with her long-time skater Oona Ounasvuori, who represents Etelä-Vantaan Taitoluistelijat. Today Alisa works in Espoon Taitoluisteluklubi just outside Helsinki. She is graduated from Sports Academy of St Petersburg to be teacher of fysical culture and sports with specialty of figure skating coach as well as sports psychologist. She also took part in ISU world development courses as well as Nordic Development by Finnish Figure Skating Association. She has a very wide experience and knowledge in figure skating and she has told " I want to share my knowledge forward". Lina Thors Has worked as a figureskating coach for over 20 years. Previously as headcoach in Umeå IK for many years. Now she workes as coach in Ö-vik and many other clubs in the region and also for the district.
Lina has the highest coaching degree in sweden and trains skaters all the way up to Elitserie. |
